Highly satisfied with this light. Directly out of the box we powered it on. It remained on for 17 hours while we all took turns playing with the features. Dimming and color changing were easy to use with the remote control. The plastic outter globe seems.to be durable. Not worried that it will be damaged in a tussle between my two youngsters. After the initial first use we charged it for 4 hours. We settled on a color and left it alone. 20 hours of illumination. We are loving our new toy. Can hardly wait to see who on our holiday shopping list ends up with one. We will be ordering more!
It worked well, while it worked, but 8 months later the control stopped working and there is no way to fix it, Iļæ½ļæ½ve tried everything, and with out the control the light is too bright and doesnļæ½ļæ½t let my daughter sleep, so now i guess ill have to throw the light out. A little upset honestly, the remote is touched once a day, by a grown up, i donļæ½ļæ½t understand why it would just out of no where stop working.

The product works wondeful, and makes for a good nightlight/gift. Since the manual is no help, Ill give it to you straight. You are supposed to charge it for 2-4 hours for it to fully charge, it will change from a faint red to a faint blue color. Though you are still able to use it while it is charging. You'll know that it is on if you can clearly see the light in a well lit room. You may turn it on by pressing the ON/OFF button on the bottom of the ball, or by simply pressing ON on the remote. To turn it off it is the same, except you have to hold the button on the bottom of the ball. The remote already comes with a battery. If you have a defective unit, the seller will gladly work with you to make things right, whether it's reimbursement or replacement. An overall good product and experience, since I had to return my unit. I would recommend buying one, and might buy another one as a separate gift.
